- In a paper presented
at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference 2001
in Chicago, ("Issues of Validity and Technology: Publishing Scholarship
on the Web") Susan Kattwinkel included Didaskalia in a list of 18 websites described as "among the best sites on
the internet." She writes: "They are not simply lists of
other sites or electronically published articles, but use the resources
of the net to their fullest. They represent early strides towards
the new form of scholarship and research the web affords." See:

Newsletter, Network Nuggets on 24 Feb, 1998:
One way to really appreciate the people in ancient
times is to examine the complexity of their theatre and staging.
Didaskalia is a Greek and
Roman stagecraft website, with information about actors, masks,
costumes, sets (including 3-D views) and more. It's a very interesting
way to learn about the dramatic productions of long ago.
