Aeschylus was a Greek dramatist, who was born in Eleusis, near Athens. He died at Gela in Sicily. Aeschylus is said to have written 90 plays and 13 of them won the dramatic competitions. Out of the 90 plays, we only know the names of 79 of them and only 7 of them exist to this day (see above).
